Darwin Photographer | Family Stories | Jamie-Lee and Family

December 23, 2016

Each photo taken by me usually has unique, amazing family stories behind them, as well as unique characters. I have met so many different families and I have heard many stories through my photography career. Yesterday, after Jamie-Lee told me her family story I had thought of an idea to collect all my client’s families stories and post them on my blog. Some of them are sad and some of them are full of fun. Maybe one day I’ll write a book about how different people’s destiny can be and how much through our life we depend on chance. So, enjoy beautiful photos of Jamie-Lee family and the first gem in my collection … her family story :-).

“Myself (Jamie) and my partner (Wade) are born and raised in Darwin our whole lives. My father is Greek, born in Greece and my mother is English and Papuan, born in PNG. Both my parents came over to Australia from young. Wades mum and dad are Australian, with wades father being of German heritage and wades mum indigenous Australian. We are a multicultural family and we love it. We love and embrace our different cultures. We both come from large families and are very family oriented people.  We enjoy the outdoors and usually will go fishing, camping and go on long drives any chance we get. My eldest son Wade, who we call Junior as he is named after his father is 5 years old. He loves anything to do with animals and Is fascinated with wildlife. Our middle child Sebastian is 3 years old and has the most loveable caring nature about him. He is adventurous and always getting up to mischief. Our youngest is Catalia. Named after the Cattleya flower which is the national flower of Columbia. She’s always making us laugh and full of life. Her favourite thing to do is dress up in her princess costumes and dance around the house.”
